The Parks Floating Festival has arrived in the Valley and it does not disappoint! The decorated island is quaint and nostalgic, the first puzzles are easy and fun, and the rewards are fantastic!
Although it is called the Adventureland Trash Can, this item is actually a Grizzly Peak trash can from Grizzly Peak in Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California. Don’t get me wrong: I was thrilled to receive this item, as I have wanted more of the iconic Disney trash cans to be added for quite some time. Disney trash cans are actually a huge thing: many Disneyphiles collect miniatures of them, and there is even a new trash can-themed throw blanket newly available in the parks. I do wish, however, that the devs had correctly labeled this item, as the real Adventureland trash cans from Disneyland and Disney World feature very different iconagraphy, and I would like to be able to have those in my Valley one day as well.
The other item received this week is a very large (and very feisty!) carnivorous plant which actually appears in the Mystic Manor attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland. Mystic Manor is Hong Kong’s special version of the iconic Haunted Mansion, with a backstory that ties deeply to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. In October of 2024, there were leaks suggesting we might get a Mystic Manor houseskin in the premium shop, however, that never came to fruition, unfortunately. Since there is also a scene featuring carnivorous plants in the Holiday Haunted Mansion overlay at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, I was very excited to get this feisty “critter” so that I could feature it in that corner of my walkthrough attraction. I actually have three walkthrough attraction Haunted Mansion builds in total, which I hope to feature in the coming weeks, as we get closer to Halloween: Disneyland Anaheim’s OG Haunted Mansion, Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion, and the Holiday Haunted Mansion overlay from Disneyland Anaheim.
