This week, we received a chilling new letter from the Realmweaver:

As with the last two communications received from this mystery figure, this one foreshadows the arrival of the next Villager to the Valley, which we already know will be Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, but let’s take a look at what else this letter reveals before breaking down the two previous letters, in an effort to bring everything we know in-game together in one place and piece together these clues.
This third letter hints at far more than the next update alone. During the Pocahontas Update, the first letter received from the Realmweaver–which was attached to Meeko’s fur, rather than arriving in our mailbox–revealed that this mystery figure already had at least one companion. Upon inspecting the letter, we opened a memory which read:
“I thought I’d keep this raccoon as ANOTHER companion, but he bit me and ate all the snacks in my hideout! Good riddance! -The Realmweaver
P.S. I’ll be seeing you, but will you see me? Hehehe….
Our latest message tells us more about that preexisting companion: the Realmweaver’s “buddy” is male and cold-blooded. This means that the Realmweaver’s current companion is definitely an animal and is likely a reptile, amphibian, fish, or invertebrate (insect, worm, mollusk, etc.). When considering reptilian sidekicks within the Disney pantheon of characters, the three most obvious ones are Elliot (the dragon from Pete’s Dragon), Louis (the alligator from The Princess and the Frog), and Figment (the dragon mascot of Epcot and companion of Dreamfinder). Another way less obvious reptilian sidekick from Disney is Juju the snake (also from The Princess and the Frog), the companion of Mama Odie, but we’ll circle back to this soon.
The other tantalizing clue in this message are the lines that read “Something wicked is coming. And no, it’s not me.” This is the first official suggestion that the Realmweaver is not a Disney Villain. And that information is given to us with finality, as this is the only letter out of the four (inclusive of the memory-letter attached to Meeko’s fur) that does not include a postscript (P.S.).
Given all of this information, the four most likely identities of the Realmweaver (thus far) would be Pete (the namesake boy from Pete’s Dragon), Naveen (Tiana’s prince from The Princess and the Frog), Dreamfinder (Figment’s creator, from the original Journey Into Imagination attraction at Epcot, and soon to be returning to Epcot), and Mama Odie (the Voodoo/Hoodoo priestess from The Princess and the Frog). In my opinion, this latest message from the Realmweaver effectively rules out two of the most popular previous public postulations: Dr. Facilier (the Voodoo Villain of The Princess and the Frog) and Madame Mim (Merlin’s nemesis in The Sword and the Stone), as both are obviously villains and neither maintains a cold-blooded companion of any kind.
Every letter we have received from the Realmweaver in our mailbox so far has also included a claimable gift. This time, that gift is candy, but let’s take a look at the other two previous letters, shall we? Just before the Wreck It Ralph Update we received this missive from the Realmweaver:

I consider this one the most sinister of the three mailbox letters. Apparently, so do a lot of other people, as this one thoroughly shifted a lot of people away from theorizing that the Realmweaver might be Figment and toward the greater possibility that the Realmweaver could be someone much more nefarious, such as Dr. Facilier. Kidnapping, after all, is something Villains do (I am intentionally capitalizing the word “villains” here to signify specifically Disney Villains, which are basically their own franchise at this point, to the degree that they will be receiving their own land at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in the not-too-distant future). But is this a crime strictly relegated to Villains? Well, no it isn’t: Beast kidnapped Maurice, Belle’s father, and then Belle herself; Peter Pan technically kidnapped Wendy and her brothers, Michael and John; Mike and Sully technically kidnapped Boo (well, Sully did; Mike was obsessed with putting her back!); it could even be argued that Timon and Pumbaa semi-kidnapped Simba, since they persisted in attempting to prevent him from returning home. All of these kidnappers already live in our Valleys and are our friends; none of them are Villains!
Of course, this also begs the question: who did the Realmweaver kidnap? Is their hostage the cold-blooded buddy mentioned in mailbox letter three, which arrived today, or someone else?
In my opinion, the fact of this kidnapping (and the fact that the Realmweaver actually calls it a kidnapping) deletes Pete from Pete’s Dragon from our list of suspects as in both the original film and the 2016 reboot Pete is an orphan boy being abused by his foster parents: hardly the “kidnapper type”. He wouldn’t have the agency to do such a thing. Which leaves us with three other suspects: Naveen, Dreamfinder, and Mama Odie.
This letter and its predecessor also make it very clear (together with our dialogues with Merlin on the topic of the Realmweaver) that the Realmweaver is a powerful mystical figure capable of creating entire Realms. In my opinion, this further reduces our suspect pool down to just two figures: Dreamfinder and Mama Odie. Naveen is many things, but capable of the level of magic required to create entire Realms is not one of those things!
Which brings us to the first mailbox letter:

This letter, combined with the memory-letter attached to Meeko’s fur, had many of us trying to pay close attention to the words in all-caps, in case those might somehow, when put together, spell out some sort of clue. In total, we now have five capitalized words:
Another
Epic
Disgusting
My
Kidnapped
The message received today is the only message we have received thus far without a postscript or a capitalized word. However, I have experimented with the possibility that these words could contain an anagram (a word, phrase, or name formed by rearranging the letters of another word or words). We would need an F and one more R to spell Dreamfinder (with a ton of other letters left over); we would need one more M to spell Mama Odie (again, with a ton of other letters left over).
Some of those leftover letters could be used to spell the words STOP and GUPPY, which led me down a very ugly rabbit hole: what if the Realmweaver is already in the Valley? Who do we know in the Valley who constantly says the word “guppy” and whose hostages might be fished out of the waters off Dazzle Beach? Ursula! Though they do not appear in the Valley, she also once had a pair of cold-blooded companions: Flotsam and Jetsam, her eels. That would be super disappointing, though, wouldn’ it?
All of the evidence, when taken together, points most strongly to either Dreamfinder or Mama Odie, but ultimately (and unfortunately), we are destined (I almost said “doomed”..hehe) to have to wait and see. Possible non-game clues, based on the One Disney theory, most definitely point more clearly toward Dreamfinder, but those are precisely that: theories. Only time will tell….
